1. What this site uses
Technically, this site does not set any traditional HTTP cookie. It only uses the browser's local storage (the feature called localStorage), which works much like a cookie because it is saved in your browser, but is never sent automatically to our server with every request, as a cookie would be.
The only item stored is a simple flag, along the lines of "privacy notice already seen", tied to this site's address.
2. What it is for
It exists only to remember that you have already read and closed the privacy notice shown in the corner of the screen, so that it does not reappear on every visit or on every new page. No other function depends on this storage.
3. How to clear this data
You can delete this item at any time in your browser's privacy settings (usually under "Clear browsing data" or "Clear site data"). Once it is cleared, the privacy notice appears again on your next visit. This does not affect any other account or service, because it is local information that lives only in your own browser.
4. What we do not use
We do not install, and have no plans to install, any of the following without clear notice and fresh consent:
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or any other Google measurement "tag";
- Social media or advertising pixels;
- Cross-site tracking cookies or browsing-profile cookies;
- Any third-party tool that collects browsing data for marketing purposes.
For that reason, this site shows no "cookie preferences" panel with categories such as "analytics" or "advertising", because those categories do not exist here.
5. The sign-up form
What you type into the sign-up form (name, email, phone, province or territory and message) is not kept in your browser's local storage. It is sent directly to our server when you click "Sign me up", as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to this policy
If we ever start using an additional cookie tool (for example, for analytics), we will update this page with a new publication date and, as PIPEDA and other applicable privacy laws require, ask for your consent before switching that tool on.
